Qurbani
Qurban, also known as 'Udhiya' is the sacrifice of a livestock animal. This includes and is limited to cows, goats, sheep, and camels.
The sacrifice must be made on the days of Eid Al Adha as per the custom of Prophet Ibrahim (upon him be peace) and maintained in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (upon him be peace). It is an act of sacrifice highly regarded and is used as a means of drawing closer to Allah. Qurban is an act that is agreed upon by Muslims unanimously and is outlined both in the Qur’an and sunnah.
